Benton County, Oregon goes "Live" with Ascend™

Bellevue, WA – ASIX, Inc., a Northwest-based software vendor and information technology consulting firm, announced today the successful implementation of its popular property assessment and tax administration software at Benton County, Oregon. Benton went live as scheduled in August and now joins Lane County and Clackamas County as the 3rd Oregon jurisdiction to take advantage of Ascend's™ extensive features for Oregon counties. Ascend™ is a breakthrough product providing flexibility never before available in software applications serving county assessors, tax collectors, and treasurers. It's the only product of its kind that can be configured to easily accommodate legislative changes without resorting to costly custom development efforts. Ascend™ is also a true multi-state solution with customers in the states of Oregon, Washington, Illinois, Missouri, Michigan, and Nevada.

Pam Grant, Benton County Assessor, worked with her staff to research the market for a software application that would handle the unique requirements of Oregon's complicated tax structure and provide the tools to make her office more efficient. "When we found ASIX and Ascend™, we were excited about the possibilities it held for us," says Grant. "We needed a software solution that would allow us to replace our aging legacy systems, and improve efficiency to better serve our community in Benton County. This software dramatically reduces our dependence on internal programming staff and eliminates the necessity for County software rewrites and workarounds to accommodate legislative changes. We also wanted a technology partner like ASIX that had an understanding of our business, experience and vision, and a genuine commitment to customer service. We've enjoyed working with ASIX staff throughout this project and found them to be highly skilled professionals with very effective project management and conversion methodologies." commented Grant.
