Lake County, Illinois, goes "Live" with Ascend™

Bellevue, WA - ASIX, Inc., a Northwest-based software vendor and information technology consulting firm, announced today the successful completion of the implementation of its popular property assessment and tax administration software at Lake County, Illinois. Lake is one of the largest jurisdictions in the state of Illinois and supports 18 township Assessors in the County. Ascend™ is a breakthrough product providing flexibility never before available in software applications serving county assessors, tax collectors, and treasurers. Ascend™ is also a multi-state solution with customers in the states of Washington, Oregon, Missouri, Michigan, Nevada, and Illinois.

" Lake County sends out over 240,000 tax bills and collects over a billion dollars in revenue each year. The decision to replace such a critical business application, and then to select a vendor was made only after careful consideration," stated Robert Skidmore, Lake County Treasurer. "ASIX has been up to the task. The dedication of their implementation staff was extremely important to ensuring that all the complex financial data was carried over to Ascend™ correctly. We are very pleased with ASIX and Ascend™, and encourage other counties to consider their solution."

"We are very excited about Lake County going 'live'," states Dan Sullivan, ASIX Vice President of Operations. "We introduced a number of new features for this project, especially in the area of tax delinquency and tax lien sales. It took a lot of energy from both County and ASIX staff to transition from their legacy environment, and everyone associated with the project should feel proud of this accomplishment. It's going to serve the County well for years to come."
