Ascend Warrants Processing™
The Ascend Warrants Processing™ system (AWP) provides users the ability to record the issuance and redemption of warrants that are processed within the Treasurer/Tax Collector’s Office. AWP accepts input files from outside sources in the layout as defined by ASIX, and accepts the bank’s BAI standard format input file for the redemption information. ASIX has defined output files in order to facilitate data feeds into the County financial system. The County is responsible for creating translators to transform the output files into the required layout for the County financial system.
AWP appears as a menu option in the Ascend Accounting work area and integrates with information stored within the application. New security functions have been added to handle the separation of functions such as redemption and issuance of warrants. The system contains reports for both the issuance and redemption of warrants and show warrant activity by amount, status, date range, detail, and summary for specific districts or all districts. Multiple windows allow users to perform manual redemptions, issuances, and updates as needed for both individual warrants and warrant batches.
