Requirements Analysis, Evaluation and Selection

Once the business case analysis has been performed, the vendor identification and selection process can begin. The first step in this process identifies and prioritizes the system requirements (mandatory and desired) and defines a scoring scheme. This is followed by information gathering, which includes a combination of an RFI, interviews and demonstrations, to support the product selection decision.
